A lot of the time the decision-makers took\u00a0giant leaps of faith &#8211; faith that what they were\u00a0doing was the Lord\u2019s will for the ministry. The\u00a0Lord has been faithful to guide and bless the\u00a0ministry of CYC Waihola these last 50 years.<br \/>\nSo here we are 50 plus years later and asking\u00a0how do we remain true to those early pioneers\u00a0that had a vision. We want to remain true to the purposes we set out with and\u00a0yet be wise enough to acknowledge that to stay on course we sometimes need\u00a0to be progressive and open to change.<\/p>\n<p>The Council of Management has appointed a Stategic Planning Working Group\u00a0to continue working on the Strategic Plan process that was started at a retreat\u00a0weekend in May 2013. This working group\u2019s role is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>give the council insight into what future plans could involve<\/li>\n<li>collate a strategic plan for the immediate, medium and long term future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This working group has, as part of the process, put together this questionnaire \/\u00a0survey \/ poll to start the process.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to be honest, frank\u00a0and insightful as you provide\u00a0feedback to us.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #339933;\">Objects of the Society<\/h3>\n<p>The Council of Management believes that everything we do at CYC Waihola\u00a0should be for the bene\u001ft of the objectives of the society, which are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>To sponsor, control and manage Christian Youth Camps for boys and girls on an<\/em><br \/>\n<em>interdenominational basis in New Zealand. The purpose of such camps is to help<\/em><br \/>\n<em>boys and girls develop a normal Christian life in the wholesome atmosphere of<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Christian Fellowship.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>To acquire, hold, manage, dispose of and deal with in any manner whatsoever<\/em><br \/>\n<em>any real or personal property to aid and further the charitable work of the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Society.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The raising, holding or expending of any fund or funds in such manner as the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Council of the Society shall direct in accordance with the Charitable objects of<\/em><br \/>\n<em>the Society.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #339933;\">Question Filter<\/h3>\n<p>As you answer the questions and provide feedback to us please answer the\u00a0questions with the following \u001ffilter based on the objects listed above.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>\u201cIs this existing element providing a\u00a0benefit or a\u00a0hindrance to the ministry of youth camps which help\u00a0to develop a wholesome atmosphere of\u00a0Christian\u00a0Fellowship?\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR for new ideas or suggestions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>\u201cIs my new idea or suggestion going to provide a\u00a0<em>benefit\u00a0<\/em>or a hindrance to the ministry of youth camps\u00a0which help to develop a wholesome atmosphere of\u00a0Christian Fellowship?\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff6600;\">Questionnaire<\/h2>\n<p>The questionnaire is now closed &#8211; thanks to all those that submitted responses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Preamble In 2013, CYC Waihola celebrated and\u00a0gave praises to the Lord for 50 years\u00a0of ministry.
