Christian Youth Camps Waihola Incorporated turns 50 in 2013 – to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness to us we are going to celebrate over Labour weekend. You do not want to miss out on this super special weekend of memories and fun.

The following is the planned program for the weekend. It is subject to minor change but is what we are aiming for.

Friday Night

Meet and Greet over informal supper

  • 7.00pm – Arrivals / Registrations / Information
  • 8.00pm – Formal Welcome in Main Lodge
Saturday – Day Time
Formal Gathering
  • 8.00am – Breakfast
  • 9.30am – Forum of Memories
  • 10.30am – Morning Tea
  • 11.00am – Forum of Memories continue
  • 12.00pm – Formal Photograph
  • 12.30pm – BBQ Lunch
  • 2.00pm – Planting of tree and plaque unveiling
  • 2.30pm – Cutting of the Cake
  • 3.00pm – Afternoon Tea
  • 3.30pm – Camp-site tour
Saturday – Night
Formal Evening Meal and Entertainment
  • 5.30pm – Catered Buffet – only for those pre-registered
  • 8.00pm – Variety Concert (see key contacts to register your items)
  • 9.30pm – Supper
Sunday
Thanks-giving Church Service and Lord’s Day
  • 8.00am – Breakfast
  • 10.30am – Thanks-giving Service
  • 12.30pm – Lunch
  • 1.30pm – Fellowship and informal options
  • 5.30pm – Evening Meal
  • 7.00pm – Praise & Prayer Evening with testimonies and stories of the Lord’s work through CYC in people’s lives
  • 9.30pm – Supper

Registration Information [top]

It is important that you register for the weekend as we have limited accommodation available and we can only cater for a certain number of people for the weekend.
Registrations close on 1st October or earlier if we have reached capacity.

Photos and Historical Documents [top]

The organising committee is looking for photos of early camps, early building work on the camp-site or any other photos of interest for the weekend celebrations.

We are also looking for any old historical camp forms or anything else that might be of interest to folk over the weekend.
