Introducing out first “sweet as” Camp Cooking Training Day we have organised as part of our annual Camp Volunteer Training weekend.
Spend a day with Joanne Bullin in the CYC Waihola commercial kitchen learning the following key skills:
  • use of the new steam ovens and brat pan
  • whats in the CYC kitchen & pantry?
  • cooking for people with allergies
  • cooking for crowds
  • kids camps cooking
  • modern food handling safety procedures
  • menu preparation with bulk food
  • and much much more ….. !
Joanne has a Grade 3 Otago Polytech certificate in Cookery (commonly know as a Sous Chef qualification).
This training is free and those that attend will be recorded as having attended a CYC Waihola cooks training day.
Its hoped it will be a fun day of fellowship, cooking and learning. You are welcome to attend the full training weekend from Friday to Sunday if you wish but the cooking training will be limited to the Saturday only.
