2023 Summer Pony Camp: Knights and Ladies

Here at CYC we love all things equine and we want to share this love with you – learn to ride, do cool activities on your horses and make new friends.

This Pony Camp will teach the basics of horse care and horseback riding. Daily activities will include: safety around horses, grooming, tacking, leading horses, and horseback riding. The girls will learn respect and responsibility through hands on care while learning about all aspects of horses. All based around our years theme of Knights and Ladies.

Each camper is assigned their own horse to ride and care for the entire week. This “ownership” opportunity makes the riding experience more rewarding and introduces campers to the responsibilities and joys of having their own horse.

2020 Autumn Pony Camp

Cancellation (23rd March 2020):

We regret to inform you that our 2020 Pony Camp that was to be held in a few weeks time has now been cancelled.

As a camp we have been closely monitoring the Ministry of Health guidelines and the quickly evolving situation. Events like camps were fairly uncertain with the nationwide upgrade of the Government’s Alert Level nationwide to Level 2 on Saturday. And now with the alert level moving to Level 4 this coming Wednesday we can no longer run any events at CYC Waihola for the foreseeable future.

We can only hope and pray that the situation around the globe and in NZ improves soon.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
